Barnyard Meetup: Cultivator Recap (March 2026) in Italy

On March 22nd, the first official Barnyard MeetUp in Italy took place at Alpego’s headquarters in Almisano. The community event was organized by Matteo7810 from the SMI Modding Team in collaboration with Italian manufacturer Alpego.

Held as part of the Alpego Spring Fest, the event brought together Farming Simulator fans, modding enthusiasts and the local agricultural community to celebrate digital farming, real-world machinery and the passion that connects both worlds.

The program included three gameplay stations featuring Alpego content in Farming Simulator, a guided factory tour, a scale modeling exhibition, an interactive course and a themed giveaway activity with Farming Simulator gadgets. Ten of the prizes also included exclusive game keys.

One special highlight was the Alpego DMAX 800, a custom piece of content developed by the SMI Modding Team specifically for the occasion. On ModHub, you can download both this machine as well as the Alpego Airboost AB2 Series right now!

Matteo7810 also hosted a presentation about the process of creating content for Farming Simulator: from the initial collaboration with Alpego, to 3D modeling, and finally integration into the game.

Many attendees were surprised by the number of steps and the level of expertise required to make content playable across multiple platforms, just like the mods and official content developed by GIANTS Software.

The event was part of the larger Alpego Spring Fest, celebrating the beginning of spring. Overall, the festival welcomed more than 3,000 visitors, while the Barnyard MeetUp itself brought together around 350 guests from the Farming Simulator community.

Events like this truly show what Farming Simulator represents for its community: a meeting point between passion, technology, and real-world agriculture. Being in contact with enthusiastic people and having the chance to experience - even virtually - the machines that play a crucial role in putting food on our tables is something special.

I would like to thank GIANTS Software for giving me the opportunity to become a Community Cultivator for Italy and to share my passion with others. This is just the beginning of a great journey!
