Making of: Diorama Trailer

A few weeks ago, we dropped our "Diorama Trailer" on our official YouTube channel. Haven't seen it? Catch up and watch it below!

And if you wonder how and why that was made, even better - we have a video for that as well. Learn more about it in our making of and the FAQ below!

Common Questions

While most of the comments were nice and appreciative, we couldn't help but notice that some level of confusion seemed to linger. No problem! Let's clear it up, shall we?

"Why didn't you work on the game instead?"

Surprisingly, the people working on the game are not the same as the ones making videos and our talented map creative and miniature artisan Max spend a whole lot of free time on it! Meanwhile, our developers continued to expand, improve, and work on the game, of course.

We tried to teach our marketing department LUA, but the results were not on par with internal standards as well as the standards of biology and engineering, as the cows either lacked a number of limbs or had too many and tractors disappeared in disco worm holes. So each department decided to stick to their specialty.

"Is this coming to ModHub?"

Sadly not.

"Is it for console?"

...yes?

"Is it included in the Season Pass?"

Even better: the trailer is free to watch for everyone!

What is this? A farm for ants?

Definite yes!

"I want the Diorama!"

We bring it to big events like FarmCon. But only look, no take!

"So small farm. Any achievements?"

The small farm IS the achievement!

"This means machine X is confirmed for the game?"

Our selection of miniature models was determined by the availability of items within the world of miniatures that fit the exact scale of our project and could be shipped within a practical and timely delivery window. Basically, it's is purely coincidental.

"I don't get it."

This content, hereby titled "Diorama Trailer", constitutes a promotional trailer for the game and is expressly designed and produced for marketing and advertising purposes, as well as a nostalgia-driven vehicle to transport certain emotions to existing fans who appreciate agricultural themes with a sense of passion, a shared interest in farming, and an appreciation of community and belonging. Some of its objectives are to generate awareness, stimulate interest, and provide a curated set of emotions the game aims to represent. It does not, however, constitute the final product and should be interpreted as a creative and passionate asset within the broader scope of our strategic outreach and brand engagement initiatives, conveyed through a mood that is embedded in it and also marks the common denominator between the trailer and the product. We also just wanted to have fun and viewers to have fun watching it! Yay!

"Is it AI generated?"

No, it is certainly not.

"This is a child's game"

It is indeed rated 'all ages' and we're quite proud to make it enjoyable for the whole family. Thanks for acknowledging!
